Hi Scott -
Thanks for posting that. I once operated a pair of those Atlases and it
brought back many memories, the worst of which was when they started ahead with
the camshaft timing set for astern! That caused them to exhaust through the
intake manifold, taking air in through the exhaust and quickly filling the ER
with smoke. Most of that was due to the old WABCO pneumatic controls and an
inadequate flywheel brake.
