I purchased one of these right after they came out and I love it. You can
program it with up to 10 email addresses or cell phone numbers. You can file
a message on their website, turn the device on and push the OK button.
Couple minutes later the recipients get your lat/long and message. Works
anywhere in the world. I've delegated one of the OK message recipients to
email several other people who are interested in the progress of our voyage.
It's far cheaper than an epirb and has far greater eommunication
flexibility.
