    I think the purer water (in ppb rather than ppm) does not draw minerals out of the body it's just that the body needs lots of trace minerals and there are lots of them in "normal" water and that helps the body get them when they are present in the water.
    The water made by RO systems for boats do not reduce the mineral or salinity content to the ppb range just the ppm range and will not hurt anybody to ingest.

    Kevin, That article has no concept of the purity of water we can make in
    this age. Believe me, water with impurities in the low ppb (thats billion!)
    will deplete your body of necessary minerals. Fortunately, the ineducated
    has no contact with with this purity water.
