I received an offline reply that my math was wrong. I dropped a zero doing
the math. At 10 gal/day it would take 70 days to fill our 700 gal tank and 7
days to replenish our average 70 gals per day usage. Perhaps it would work
for drinking water and ice making, but not for showers etc. Still an
interesting concept, as the stand alone unit was generating 5 gal/day on a
74 degree day at 25% humidity. The owners statement was that most of the
generation of water here in the dessert was at night when the temp falls and
the humidity rises. On the water it produces 10 gal/day.
I think I will wait before I buy one.
