The trick to any dog on board is time...patient time spent training them thats its OK to go anywhere, once that command is given. We have trained our Westie to "piddle" when and where we need. She would prefer her dink ride, she certainly knows why she is getting a ride, but the corner of the cockpit or swim platform works just as well. Good story, we just went to the vet, on the way in, she "piddled" in the grass, once inside the vet needed a sample. Wife explained that she just went....my response, no problem, we just went outside with a small dish and "piddled" on command. It takes time, but its entirely doable, praise and pateince, having a fairly intelligent dog helps....GEH
