    That is only a harness. Whenever they're on the boat (except at night when
    sleeping), we always have the dogs in harnesses. They are pretty great
    swimmers but it's very difficult to get them back into the boat without
    something to grab on to.

    We've had almost every type of dog life vest. Anything under about $50
    isn't worth it - they're really bad. These are the ones we're currently
    using and they are well made and work well:
