KL Industries is the biggest maker of plastic recreational boats, pedal
craft, and plastic canoes. The Water Tender would be an adequate replacement
for a
shore to ship dinghy for keeping in a boatyard. I have used their line of
SportYak dinghies for years and prefer them for keeping aboard boat. They are
half
the weight and substantially lower in price yet meet full USCG standards for
unsinkability. They are also listed in the web site. West Marine does not
carry them but Camping World does.
