Thanks to Ron and all others that replied. Your experiences mirrored those
I have found locally. I am not at a "concientious" marina. One of those I
spoke to locally said "It is not fair to our tenants to not be able to
wash their boats for almost half a year!" However, this is a high end
condo type marina wwhere the slips are self-owned.
It would not seem to be a teribbly difficult contraption to build a
temperature controlled valve. There are electricaly controlled seacoks /
ball valves, just need a thermostat to control it. However, it would need
to be accurate within a few degrees and be shaded from the sun (if any).
I called an irrigation/sprikler supplier and a plumbing supply and they
have never heard of such an animal. Possible uses in agriculture -
watering holes for cattle. I won't be aplying for a patent though.
