one of the shurflo engineer (dont have his name handy) told me 2000hrs at
30psi, not 1500... so it seems like even shurflo isnt sure...
but note that these pumps operate a higher pressure... 50 or 60psi cut off i
think... so real world lifespan is more like 1000 hours which was my
experience.
I guesstimate average flow to be 3GPM (depending on nr of fixtures in use at
the same time). in my case, that's 80 minute per 250 gallon tank... which i
refill every 5 days. so one hour and 1/3 every five days.. 100 hours a
year ?
so in theory, the diaphragm should be good for 10 years ? something is
wrong either with my math or with the pump. I got about a year from the
first one, and again a year out of the second one.
