    The best answer is to never buy more than you can use up in a week. I try to
    group jobs requiring a sealant so I can do them all in one session. For small
    tasks, just get the 4 oz. tube. It's expensive, but cheaper than throwing away
    a partially used 16 oz. caulking gun cylinder. Also less frustrating.
