We traded in a 30 kg Bruce and a 60 lb CQR for a 55 kg Rocna before starting
our voyage from SFO to Georgia. We're currently in La Paz. The Rocna has
been all we hoped. We did anchor in black muck once and we had no problem
pulling it up, but we had to go real slowly. It gradually came free. One
item to note was that the entire spade back to the tube that rolls it over
came up with a solid chunk of mud, which put an extra load on the windlass.
We also run a trip line just in case.
Sincerely,
David and Mary Schramm
