Crab season opened here just this weekend. Using prior years as a guide,
you can expect that the deadly combination of macho, drugs, and greed will
cause crabbers to go out in dangerous conditions with poorly equipped boats.
This is the culture that makes TV's "Deadliest Catch" so popular. I can't
think of another industry that behaves so recklessly.
