    I will see what I can find, but I drove USN submarines for years, and
    a bound book with numbered pages is all I was ever taught to use.

    I guess I never saw a need to question that practice.

    And, after my run in with a tax man, maritime lawyer, and a maritime
    court, some years ago, I would never question that practice.
