Blowing out your water lines is relatively easy.

-- Disconnect the boat's water line from the output
(pressure side) of your fresh water pump.
-- Attach an air compressor to that line--facing the
boat's plumbing. This may require some additional
parts such as hose, fittings, or clamps. In my case
the air blowing attachment to my air compressor just
happens to fit in the short flexible hose between the
pump and the hard plastic lines on the boat.

Make sure your air compressor is regulated to a
pressure less than the maximum allowable proessure for
your system. I set my fo 30 to 40 psi.

FYI, this will not push the water out of your hot
water tank, but will push the water out of the hot
water lines. At least that's been my experience with
the last few boats I've had.

This does not remove the water from the pump or lines
from the water tank(s). I simply remove the hose from
the tank(s) and turn the pump on for a few seconds.

It's my opinion that this procedure does not totally
eliminate water in the lines, therefore, water residue
may accumulate in low places in the water lines
creating a potential for freeze damage. That's why I
still put pink stuff in the lines before blowing them
    out.
