    Relocating the sea strainers above the waterline gets rid of one potential
    failure point and replaces it with another.

    Are you SURE your pumps will always lift that far? Are you SURE they won't
    pull air in where water didn't leak out before (like we often hear about
    fuel line air ingestion problems with no associated fuel leak)?
