Tom, that 60,000 pound trawler of yours will give a pretty good tug on that
flopper stopper. If your boom is not built to withstand the stresses,
you'll be in for repair bills far in excess of the cost of the device.
If you are not one, you should consult with a qualified naval architect
before hooking this thing up any where on the boat.
