    We have a President 35 with twin 225HP Lehman turbo diesels coupled to a
    pair of 23x23 four bladed props. We cruise at 8 kts with 1600 rpm and this
    seems to be the sweet spot for this boat. Higher rpms add a little speed,
    but not enough to warrant the extra fuel consumption. Your setup sounds
    similar and I would not change anything.
