    Hi John,

Look forward to discussing your experience.. Just don't look forward to the job! Did you barrier coat you entire below water hull afterwards? I got a quote of 5-6 grand in Bermuda...so would def have to do it myself if I take this one.

Not surprising, this is to be expected on boats this age. I repaired about
75 on my boat about the size described. It does take some time to do and
once you have them repaired there is an expense additionally for barrier
coating, metal treatments, and bottom painting. I would expect that the
materials alone would come to about 1K. As far as the labor cost that I
    wouldn't know about.

    Another one...

My surveyor tells me that I have approx 60 small (less than golf ball)
blisters on either side of purchase vessel. After a long talk my father
suggests walking from deal as this is a painful repair process. I know I can
repair but it will be messy and cost in materials and hauling. I am planning
on going ahead, but only if this is factored into final price.

What do you all think of buying a boat with this? I have to decide tomorrow
(wed) so would really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks,
    Darren
