Got another thread to develop that will be sheer boredom to some but I need
some engineering "hep" as we say in s. Louisiana. I want to plumb my 3 O-1 oil
bypass filters into my 2 Yanmar mains and my Kohler genset which is based on a
small Yanmar engine. I have the return oil setup figured out for the genset
and a valved replacement for the oil pan drain plugs on the mains.
Looks like I need to T off from the oil pressure senders/low oil pressure
senders on the mains and the genset to get the bypass oil supply. Called the
Yanmar dealer and he says the gauges are threaded with the metric equavalent
of 1/8" NPT. Does anyone know what this is? I'm guessing around 6mm.
That said, I need some adapters to put this thing together, T's and the like.
Any idea where to find same? Get from metric to NPT.
As long as I'm throwing myself on the mercy of the list, when the yard was
working on my upper and lower control consoles, they lost the machine screws
that hold my Morse throttle and shift lever covers on. I know it's not SAE and
it looks metric as well. Anyone know offhand the size and pitch?
I know someone out there knows exactly what I need to know.
