And oh, I thought I was being so smart. My water maker uses two household
water filters as prefilters. 20 u and 5 u. Pending the time we REALLY get
underway, the brackish water we're floating in needs a lot of filtration so we
go through the filters regularly and the o-rings got worn. The big box stores
do not carry replacements. Found out they were Culligan 38's available at Ace
for around $2. Being the brilliant cheapskate I am, I measured them and for
$12, I bought a pack of 50 from MSC. 3 1/2" x 1/8 figuring I'd really scored a
big one.
If anyone needs 50 of these O-rings, I'd be glad to send them the pack because
they're a little to small. Now, does anyone know the exact spec of this O-ring
so I can buy 50 of the right ones or a place to get the Culligan ones cheap?
