If it isn't at either of these two places then it is farther downline toward
the holding tank and can be removed with a wet vac.

When we got our wee trawler last year, the head functioned one time, them
met total resistance to flushing. I am no expert on marine heads, but have
had sufficient experience with them to start at, full tank, blocked vent,
joker valve, etc. In our case, the PO had not flushed sufficient water with
each use, and the hose was blocked solid with "black sand" This had to be
worked out with a bent wire. The actual blockage was not very far up the
nose, but the hose was full to the head. This I had anticipated, and had a
bucket ready. Ironically, this hose passed the hot wet rag test for odor
    permeability.
