    There has always been doubt regarding the accuracy of the story where
    the bolt supposedly failed. In any case the design was changed to
    absolutely positively prevent bolt failure. I have two Spade anchors
    and regard them both as the best all around anchors I have ever used.

    What is the consensus on aluminum versus steel? Does it make sense to go
    with a larger aluminum Spade anchor or a heavier but smaller steel one?
