    Thos.

    I am running two radar units simultaneously.? I run one on short range and one on a longer range.? Both are 4kw Furuno units, one an open array and the other a radome.? They are both mounted on a custom mast that I had built for the top of our pilothouse.? The units are one over the top of the other with the open array being the lower unit.? They have worked very well and I have not had the slightest indication that I am having any interference between the units.? If I were setting this boat up again, I would do it exactly the same way as this set up has worked extremely well.? If you have any specific questions, feel free to drop me a note off line.

    Subject: T&T: Dual Radar

    List;

            I am trying to find information on mounting dual radars, in
    particular separation between the two antennae. I just bought a Garmin
    GMR41 and I have a Nobeltec 4.5' 4kw open array already installed. I
    just ordered the IR2 upgrade for the Nobeltec and I will be taking down
    the mast for inspection and to install the new radar as well as a bunch
    of smaller antennae. I am coming up scratch on how to mount them so they
    will not interfere with each other (if they even will) It will take some
    time to fabricate a mount and unstepping my radar mast is going to be a
    PITA, so I would like to at least THINK I know what I'm doing before I
    start!

            Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thos.
