I have had the CAP'N program since it was first released and have upgraded
to the Mosaic version. I have been holed up here on the St Johns River for
several years with not the need for the program. Lately I have been puttering
around and noticed that an error pops up when I start either the Voyager or
the Mosaic version, it states,
WARNING - Magnetic Variation file (WMM.DAT) is missing
Some how, and I don't know what I do, I can get the program to open. I use
it now only to develop quizzes to use in the Navigation class that I teach, I
know the program is working correctly because I verify it by using the paper
chart, so I don't know what the error message means. Has anyone on the list
seen this? Can it be fixed?
