My dad put two Plexiglas panels in the bottom of our hard-dink. What
happened was, when rowing the bubbles obliterated any viewing of the
bottom (even color differences between rocks and seaweed, coral were
not-so-good)
However, when anchored there was the distinct experience of watching a
grunt suck in a hook with bait on it, and seeing the clean hook spit out
by one of the pan fish. Of course that avoids waiting for another bite
on a now-naked hook.
And if left in the water scrubbing isn't quite as easy as one might
think on first thought.
In my book, bad idea.
