Bruce, I'm still working out the anchoring process on our boat, and this
procedure sounds interesting.
We are headed up the Tenn-Tom later this month and I'm wandering if using
this sort of ?extended snubber? Would work along the river to keep you close
to the bank without using an anchor aft overnight.
Have you tried this out in a river or similar environment? Any further
experience with this anchoring procedure would be appreciated.

-i have found that if you attach a line 10 or 20 feet out from your bow onto
-your bow anchor line with a rolling hitch and then take the line back to
-your stern you can easily manage your boats angle to wind/current without
-having to drop a stern anchor to control hunting and yawing. and it is
-easily adjustable as conditions change
