Well, John, we have a pair of old mechanical Lehman turbos and we can
eradicate them mosquitoes within a file mile radius when firing up on a cold
day - been using soltron/startron for a couple of years now and I can echo
your comments - less smoke and smoother running than before.

Fellow trawlerers:
I've used Soltron since 2001 in Seahawk. We have old mechanical Volvo
engines which can
eradicate mosquitos up to 1/4 when they are cold. Now, I don't know what
emperical evidence comes from the lab, but I do know how much less we smoke
at startup,
and how much smoother the engines "seem" to run.
On a trip up the left coast in 2004, I was impressed to see how many fuel
docks included
Soltron in their fuel - Ventura, Bodega Bay, Crescent City.
Seems to work for us - lab results or not.
