Hi All,
According to a TV news report (I saw it ONCE, it
was never repeated, unlike all other news stories
around here) the use of fuel (specifically
gasoline) in California was 1% LESS in April than
it was in March. In San Francisco it was 7% LESS
( due partially to the detour at the East end of
the Bay Bridge, encouraging Mass Transit which has
set new records).
The price of gasoline in San Francisco is still
the highest in the continental US, and shows NO
SIGN of responding to so-called "market forces".
I don't expect fuel prices to act in any fashion
that resembles a free market economy simply
because it is NOT a part of any "free economy" but
is wholly a controlled and manipulated 'market'.
I seem to recall the Supreme Court has ruled that
municipalities can use eminent domain to seize any
property for the financial benefit of that
municipality.
Let us all write our state representatives and
encourage the seizure of all the refineries.
I bet the Supreme Court changes it's position in
record time...
