Greetings Les.
The wireless bridge should connect to any wifi network. I've never
personally seen the BBX router, but I'm guessing it is made by Syrens
(http://www.syrens-at-sea.com/) and if it is the device I'm thinking of, it
has a built in webpage that let's you configure it. Do you have the manual
in PDF (or other) format? If so, email it to me offline (kenw @ seanet.com)
and I'll have a look.
Assuming you and I are speaking of the same device, the brochure says:
"... The onboard user can easily scan, locate and log-on to a HotSpot.
Simply log-in to the configuration screen with a web page address (URL) from
any computer on the network. A 'Scan' button permits the user to locate
accessible wireless networks, then click on the network selected and the
EC-Series connects to the chosen network.
..."
My guess is that BBX is private labeling it, and hasn't gone out of their
way to tell you how to connect it to non-bbx networks.

Ken,
I know of your prowess in the e world and have a question I've been
trying to answer. I own the wireless bridge offered by BBX. When in BBX
country it works fine... (well it works most of the time). The problem is I
can not use the bridge to connect to another service (without going through
the gymnastics to re-configure it to a known network, and for me that is not
that easy). The question then being: Is there hardware/software that
enables me to view the wifi landscape, identify a potential hotspot, and
connect to it via a wireless remote laptop/pc while utilizing my external
antenna and amp? (I currently use the bridge to capture the signal and run
it into a linksys to make it wireless.)
