    the stop solenoid from stopping your motor? So if you have an alternator or
    battery failure your engine would shut down?

    My 1980's 3208na engines also have a normally closed fuel solenoid (built into the mechanical fuel pump). So, when I want the engines to get fuel, I have to apply 12 vdc to the solenoid. Never made me very happy that but for this solenoid valve, my engines would run until they sucked water into the intake.
