You might find it easier and cheaper to add an inverter and run your
AC off of that while underway vice trying to rig something up off of
a PTO on a perkins...
I ran a 6k BTU off a 3 KW modified sine inverter at anchor overnight
off of my house bank.
If I was to do it again, I would use a pure sine wave inverter
instead....

It seems the only way I can run my a/c while underway, without
installing a
full generator, is to attach a small one to the current engine. I
need your
expertise to determine if I can do this with my Perkins 135hp diesel.
I know
that if this is possible, I can only run the a/c while the engine is
on. Now, I
can't. Only plug in. I would appreciate the input. Obviously, not very
knowlegeable in this area. Thanks in advance.
