Thank you, Jim, Jeff and others, for your ideas.

I dream of taking the T&T List to the next level, but it won't happen
until volunteers step forward to make it happen.

There is so much knowledge and experience among Listees, it's a shame
we don't have a proper reference library set up, perhaps along FOO
lines, perhaps as Jeff has suggested. (I agree, the current archive,
even with Google, is barely adequate.)

When news of the demise of Power Boat Reports hit the List, I thought
of posting an invitation for subscribers to figure out how T&T List
could become a resources for trawlers the way PBR attempted to be in
a broader sense. I didn't post it as I'm too preoccupied with a
magazine project right now to launch into brainstorming and planning
    a new project.

When sufficient number of Listees get excited about the idea--and
step forward to make it happen--that's when we'll see the next
    generation evolve.

Your host at Trawlers & Trawlering, formerly Trawler World, since 1997
PS The List generates no revenue. In fact, it is an expense for me
personally, which is I why I periodically put out a call for
    donations.
