In a message dated 4/28/2007 9:00:53 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time,
     writes:

Were looking a t boat which has Caterpillar 3208 NA engines. What is the
advice of the list on this type of engine? It is vintage 1999 -2000.

Good news also is that 1999-2000 would be the last of these engines, with
all of the refinements to the engine being in the last ones built; they built
the engine forever; these are mechanical, old school diesels; they smoke when
you start them; engine block or Wolverine heating pads will help a lot; but
that's the reason they don' t make them anymore, the new stuff is all
electronically managed and common rail injection technology. They can be repaired
    anywhere. Parts are everywhere. JWH
