I am sorry to report that I personally know two cruisers who have had these
swivels break. I have never liked swivels of any kind and stopped using them
years ago.
Otherwise, the WASI stainless chain is tops. We have 80 meters of 10mm on
the sailboat and love it. It looks good and piles fairly flat. We bought it in
2002 when it was "cheap" -- $US7.00/foot!
We use a Wichard stainless D shackle on the chain, coupled with a galvanized
anchor shackle on the Delta. The galvanized shackle is sacrificial -- the
zinc will disappear from it instead of from the anchor.
And the WASI Bugelanker is the best I know of -- at least for where we sail
in winter. So good, in fact that Rocna copied it. Whether it is a better hook
remains to be seen.
Regards,
John

Swivel 30 degrees in any direction. Not cheap though.
