We have a GB with an Espar D7 air heater. Plenty of heat for our needs in the SF Bay area. Even when the air temp is 40 and windy outside. Average water temps are 50-54. The unit has performed well after a major rebuild. Best source of parts, units, etc is Boat Electric. www.boatelectic.com. If on a new build or install would attempt to go hydronic but the air duct system is much eaiser to install in our boat. With the aid of a programable thermostat the ESPAR D7 has added to our comfort as liveaboards. It is quiet, fast to heat up the cabin when called on and great while on the hook.

Subject: T&T: Heating sytems
Greetings Group. We have a Krogen 42 that we are shipping from Texas to
Puget Sound. It is equipped with dual zone Cruisair recirculating A/C heat.
It works well when the water temp is 60 but probably not so well at 40. We
are considering installing either a hydronic or air heating sysyem of the
Espar, Webasto, Hurricane variety.
What are your recommendations, experiences, comments? I would also like to
know who does the best installation of these systems in the PNW.
Thanks
John Brees
