Once again I appeal to the list to help me solve a mystery.

Happily cruising along at 5 knots for about 15 minutes (800 rpm). Increased
the throttle to about 1200 rpm and the engine alarm buzzer sounds. Electric
gauges on the panel look fine. Checked the Murphy gauges in the engine
room, also reading normal. Used the infra red thermometer on the engine and
    it read normal.

I removed and cleaned the contacts on the sending unit. Seemed to work for
a while, then the alarm began to sound again. Where to from here?

    Thanks for your help
