    In MD, dinks with motors need to be separately registered and numbers do
    need to be displayed on it even if the mother boat is documented. Also in
    MD, you can have your boat Documented and registered at the same time - mine
    is since is was easier to register it and get temp numbers when I bought it.
    However, when is comes up for renewal, I will do away with the state numbers
    and just get the Document sticker to display.
