    Dear list,

    some of us use lab analysis to monitor our engine oil's "health."

    Below is a lube oil tip newsletter that about 1/2 down, discusses the
    need to control the amount of particles in lube oil that are 3 -10
    micron in size.

    I for one never knew that I had to worry about 3 micron size particles.

    I thought that I am probably not the only one.

    The site offers to sell you a book to help you learn about this. I am
    NOT suggesting that anyone buy the book. I, for one, will not. But I
    will have a discussion with my lab people and my local engine
    distributor.
