I have one 4D to start two Lehman SP225s and one GRP24 for the generator;
works fine. I also have the option of switching in the two house banks that
consists of two T105 Trojans each if I need to add some more 'cranking' to
the process - never had to yet though....

Subject: Re: T&T: Starting Batteries
My own story of Group31 starting batteries goes like this..
When I bought my current boat it had the usual 3 8d's rigged in such a way
as to be quite confusing... After adding an inverter (6-6voltz) I put in 3
group 31's. One for the genset,two for the mains ( 3208's). I had one
terminal on
the two starting batterys fail in such a way that was hard to notice (for
me)....bottom line is I was using ONE group31 to start TWO 3208 Cat's for
a
whole season and never missed a beat. one batter worked fine, although I
never
had to do extended cranking.
