The 2007 Camping World catalog (www.campingworld.com) features a number of
rear view camera systems with prices ranging from $2069 down to $119. The
expensive unit features a 7" LCD color display and three waterproof cameras covering
back and side of the boat with color and night vision. Other rear view
systems of lesser capability are offered at lower prices. The lowest price unit has
a 2.5" color display, about the size of that on a good P&S digital camera. Its
wireless weatherproof camera can be transom mounted and has wide angle and
normal capability. The display can be switched from normal to reverse to
inverted to inverted/reverse. Why anyone would want the last capability, I can't
imagine. Camping world can be reached at 800-626-5944 in case you want more
information.
For me the problem is academic. On my boat, I get rear view capability simply
by turning around.
