    Terry,

    Just about any webcam that you can attach to the Mac will do. Also any
    camcorder with a digital output. In fact, using iMovie, you can save the image to
    your laptop and ultimately burn a DVD featuring your entire voyage in reverse.

    However, if you are satisfied with a tiny B&W image, small security systems
    using s 5" TV and a tethered video camera are available for about $100. No
    point in tying up a $1200 laptop.
