I hope everybody remembers to factor fatigue into the equation. NTSB and
others check for intoxication, etc. as well as hours worked. But I'm betting
on fatigue as a major component. That and lower manning levels - which is a
cause for fatigue. BTW, the number of tractor-trailer accidents (with
fatalities) is startling, but I can't remember the data. Perhaps 25 per day?
