Penny and I always enjoy meeting other cruisers, and meeting Dave and Nancy
aboard Swan Song was no exception. Swan Song is a capable sea-boat and boasts
an engine room to die for! And our skepticism about their anti-roll tank
disappeared completely - it's simply incredible how she sits still on an even
keel as the wakes of ferries passing close-by strike her broadside! Secretly
hoping to catch even the slightest hint of a roll as they headed out around
Devil's Table for Kingstown, I was disappointed! We want one!

Another 2 weeks and 170 miles.

Met up with John/Penny from Seahorse for lunch and a good visit. Always nice
to put a face to names. They are cruising from Trinidad to Antigua and back
    on their "other" boat, Truelove.

Bequia to Kingston, St Vincent; Kingston to Cumberland Bay, St Vincent
(wonderful isolated and not yet developed); CB to the Pitons of St Lucia (no
more anchoring only moorings); Pitons to Anse Mitan, Martinique (wow, full
EU prices on everything, dinghy fuel is US6/gal!); AM to Roseau, Dominica
(lots of restricted anchoring and mooring balls but we managed to find a
spot and are anchored stern to the shore)

Some good inter-island passages and some bad. The nowcast and the forecast
are way out of whack for the passages. All of these passages are usually
governed by the Equatorial current, the tide aka moon and the effects of the
compression of the tradewinds around the Islands have a huge effect on the
    waves and wind.

Few other trawlers, a Nordhavn 62, Beneteau 42 Fine Romance and a few other
custom ones. Lots of large, 80-100' M/V's with full crews running up and
down with guests or owners aboard. Fewer bareboats in this area compared to
    further south and north.

    Log 530

Fuel used: 400 (More genset use now as we are in the "rain generating"
    islands.)

Fuel mileage underway is running 1.3 to 1.5 in the passages. Lots of power
needed to overcome the waves as we have to angle up and down a bit when the
waves are topping due to adverse currents. A few have been well over 15' and
    steep with sloppy tops.

We have had to secure a few things in the saloon that heretofore have been
    happy where they are...bummer.

Swan Song is happy so to are we...another great spot for WiFi here :-)

    Cheers
