    I tried both Stanadyne and Howies additive for diesel engines.
    Both seem to perform about equally well.
    Both reduced smoke, gave smoother and quieter running and milage was
    improved.

    Howies can be bought at almost any truck stop, automotive wholesale supplier
    or at truck dealers.
    Prices typically less than at any marine supply place.
