    There are a few reasons for wanting to use the hydraulics

        They are already onboard, so why remove them and then spend the $$ and effort to
        replace the function(s) they perform?

        The system is "way" heavy duty, in both construction and performance.

        By adding a Y valve and a length of 1.5" pipe to the water pump's intake I'll have an
        emergency bilge pump that will knock your socks off!

        I'll have the option of adding a hydraulic winch etc in the future.

        And . . . .
        I'll get to squirt the grand kids with something more like a hydrant than a
        garden hose !
