Enterprise TV Ads Misleading
When we cruise, we occasionally have to rent a car. Our usual
preference is the Enterprise special, half-off, weekend rate. It has
worked for us in the past, and if you watch TV very much, you will see
the weekend special promoted in their current TV ads, albeit, the
caveat at the end saying subject to availability.
Lately, we have had over a month of bad luck trying to get an
Enterprise weekend special. The latest was today, which was somewhat
expected since it is Superbowl weekend in South Florida. I called the
Enterprise in Key Largo, and was abruptly told none of the four
locations in the Keys give the weekend special.
Previously, I had been refused the weekend special at other Enterprise
locations for important weekends, like: Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years
Day, Peyton Mannings Birthday, All Saints Day, Boxing Day, Lenins
Birthday, etc. Well, I think you get the drift.
Sometimes you need to have your own transportation, like when you want
to pick up 8 gallons of Shell Rotella for an oil change, or some other
big shopping event. Guess Ill have to limit my shopping to what I can
fit on my 10 speed bike.
