My Freedom 2000 has had very few issues in the 3 years I have owned the
boat. I have never had to pull the unit for any repair. I had to do a hard
reset once after a lightening storm. A sailboat was nailed two boats away in
Treasure Cay anchorage. My Link 1000 also locked up one time and it took
shutting everything down to reset. However, it is not uncommon for it to
take 30 seconds+ to move to invert after shutting off the genset, or after
losing shore power. Most of the time it switches quickly, 5 seconds or less,
but frequently it takes much longer, but does always ultimately switch.
