Well I have a good one for you guys... We have an old 1939 trawler that has
been insured with Boat US for 6 years in CA for use from Washington to
Mexico. The insurance in Ca was aprox $1300 a year and after moving into Or. our
insurance went up to $2600 a year with nothing changed other then our
location. They told us it would have been $3900 if we had not been unsured with
then for long before. When asked why they said Or was just a higher risk.
Now I know why most in our Marina have no insurance as the marina does not
require it yet...
