Okay. An update. If you go direct to Progressive, they will not insure boats
IN FLORIDA that are over 30 feet in length, with no other conditions (hp
etc). They are renewing boats grandfathered in, but are not writing new
policies. The very helpful agent, and more informed agent, confirmed that
independent agents can do more and write policies that Progressive agents
can not write. She gave me 3 phone numbers to call in Florida for a starting
point to see what is available. It is close enough to 5 o'clock, in fact it
has been after 5 in many places, it is time for a very tall and very dry
martini.................
