Well after all the bragging I have done to other boat owners about ACE
Marine Insurance, they finally stuck it to me. I knew it was just a matter
of time. ACE paid off the total loss of our boat after Francis, then
reinsured us on the trawler, so I really didn't see this coming. When I frst
bought this trawler they came in at around $2700, then at renewal they only
bumped me up another $100. I couldn't believe it with all the Florida
nightmares I have heard. Well, they just sent me my renewal and I wlll be
going from $2900 per year to $6500 per year. I think I know what they want
me to do.............move on. Monday morning starts the insurance search all
over again. I would rather submit to a root canal.
